Child SAFEGUARDING
St. Patrick’s Safeguarding Children programme is a project of the St. Patrick’s missionary Society in
East Africa aimed at creating environments where children are safe especially in the parishes and
institutions under the care of the Society. In order to do this, the programme is involved in various
activities namely training of trainers, parishioners and church groups, children and teachers. The
programme also conducts awareness sessions for congregations and religious groups and forms
partnerships with others to promote child safeguarding in the wider community.
